Variety
Old Grenache and Carignan vines, between 80 and 100 years old.
Soil and Vineyards
La Plantadeta estate in the town of La Vilella Baixa. Licorella soil, 400 - 500 meters above sea level.
Since the 2020 vintage, this wine has been labeled with the designation “Vi de Paratge” (Single-Vineyard Wine), which certifies that it is a wine produced from small, unique plots within a single area: La Plantadeta.
Harvest
In early October, manually in 15 kg boxes, with a careful selection of the grapes on the estate.
Production
Aging: 13 months in French oak barrels.
Bottle aging: 3 years before release.
Alcohol content: 15%
Tasting Notes
Dark red in color, the nose offers red and forest fruit, with a spicy touch and mineral notes. The palate is fleshy and elegant, with pleasant tannins, the result of the fusion between Grenache and Carignan.
